Ewing Young

Highway OR-240, three miles west of Newberg. Recognizes Ewing Young as one of Oregon's most influential and interesting pioneers.


Willamette Post

Highway OR-219, South of Newberg, milepost 24. The first trading post in the Willamette Valley in 1811.

Dayton Blockhouse

In Dayton City Park.
Intersection of Ferry and Main Streets.
Originally this building was Fort Yamhill located on the Grand Ronde Reservation.

Glacial Erratics

Highway OR-18, seven miles west of McMinnville. This fine-grained rock was rafted to this location during catastrophic floods that occurred during the end of the Ice Age.

Grand Ronde Indian Reservation

Highway OR-18, .25mile west of Grand Ronde Road & Highway 18 intersection. Tells of the forced relocation of inland valley Indians to the Grand Ronde Reservation, their fight for U.S. Government recognition and their efforts toward economic stability.
