Board Informational Sheet
Who We Are: The Yamhill County Cultural Coalition (YCCC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase cultural resources and opportunities in Yamhill County. YCCC is one of 45 statewide coalitions, funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust, whose purpose is to increase support for Oregon arts, heritage and humanities. Through grassroots efforts the coalitions involve their community members in creating, developing, sharing, celebrating and documenting their shared culture.
What is Our Purpose: The YCCC priorities are to promote cultural activities and organizations, cultivate County cultural assets, broaden cultural opportunities, encourage interdisciplinary cultural activities and increase intra-County communication.
What Have We Done:
Award the annual Oregon Cultural Trust grants -- to 41 Yamhill county programs so far
Organize Yamhill County’s participation in Oregon’s Days of Culture
Maintain a list of the County’s cultural assets
Fundraise for additional cultural projects through the annual Cultural Campaign
Why You Should Consider Joining:
To broadly foster enriching cultural activities throughout Yamhill County
To represent your community and lend your views, skills and interests to promote appreciation of and participation in cultural activities
Board Description: Yamhill County Cultural Coalition Board is comprised of up to 15 members. Members must reside, work for or represent an organization or business located in Yamhill County. Broad participation from all areas of cultural interests and Yamhill County communities is encouraged.
